A study was performed to assess the feasibility of using PA technology to support Special Operations
Forces
(SOF) aircraft. This rack was designed and built at the Lockheed
facility near Ottawa, Canada and
populated with an appropriate subset of PA capabilities. Being a
low-level mission, this logic emphasized the use
of terrain to avoid detection and accomplish the mission in the face of
unanticipated enemy activities.
Political constraints prevented the program from completing any useful
airborne time.
